Welcome to The Boulders

This secluded community gets its name from the magnificent boulder outcroppings that are found in its residential area – some of these formations are almost 12 million years old. Stationed on 1,300 acres of land in the Sonoran Desert foothills, this resort community is also home to the luxury Waldorf Astoria resort. Because the neighborhood straddles the border between Scottsdale and Carefree, the community is partially located in Scottsdale and partially located in Carefree. According to Conde Nast Traveler in 2010, The Waldorf Astoria is one of the Top Best 80 Golf Resorts in the World. With its spa, hiking/rock climbing/bicycling tours, 8-court tennis garden, 4 swimming pools and multiple restaurants, how could it not be?
